An interesting article on the global rise of ayurvedic products sales

Shahnaz Husain, pioneer and leader of organic beauty care, based on Ayurveda, spoke to students of the London School of Economics on 9th June, 2011 at 6.30 pm. It was a distinguished gathering, where members of the faculty and London media were also present. Shahnaz Husain spoke on the Indian herbal heritage and India’s rising global influence in the international market. She shared her journey from one herbal salon to a global network of franchise ventures. She also highlighted how a traditional and cultural industry has tremendous economic potential. Says Shahnaz, “I always believed that India has a great deal to offer the rest of the world, in terms of her herbal heritage and her tradition of herbal healing. That is why I have promoted India’s herbal healing across the globe with a crusader’s zeal.” Shahnaz has created an international market for Indian Ayurvedic products, proving that our ancient herbal system is actually more relevant to the modern world.
